W.W.W.

Style: Pearls from the Past | 70's / Hard- & Blues-Rock / Garage | 70's / Psychedelic / Space- & Jam-Rock

Burnin Red Ivanhoe in their most fertile phase of existing from 1969 till 1972, were one of Danish finest groups from the period. Their innovative and powerful mixture of Psychedelic and Progressive Rock along with mild experimental or Jazz influences gained some international recognition in Germany, UK and the U.S.. Comparisons might be drawn to Traffic, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd and Colosseum (Dag Erik Asbjornsen). W.W.W. from 1971 was the band`s 3rd album with an unchanged line-up. It was their most progressive offering with even more instrumental parts than before. Great soloing by brass player Vogel and Menzer duelling with guitarist Fick moves the music to the next higher level, a holy mass for all lovers of progressive music with slightly experimental or jazzy influences, all fantastic sounding! Hightlights are „2nd Floor, Croydon“ (8:25), title track „W.W.W.“ (6.05) and „Oblong Serenade“ (6:15). How the truly forward-looking album title was found tells Karsten Vogel in his notes. Album comes with comprehensive linernotes by Karsten Vogel and rare photos on the insert. The music is warm and mild remastered. Don`t miss this top highlight of Danish Progressive Rock music. Hightly recommended!
